Together we will journey to the sacred domain of the grandmother spinners, weavers & dyers. We will be exploring the spiritual connection to the warp and weft & the potent magic that can be woven into a small cloth talisman. After gathering rich inspiration from Maggie’s workshop in which we will access & paint the landscape of our soul, we will take the colours, textures & feeling that was brought forward and weave this into your very own tapestry.

All Art materials will be provided.

Lily will bring her traditional spinning wheels & spindles for you to try  your hand at spinning & blending fibre. Each person will receive their own simple cardboard loom, a bundle of yarn & some beads to take away with them to complete their work in their own time if not finished within the time of the workshop. We will be dropping into a place of sacred slow work, a place of deep silence where we can experience the ancient craft of cloth creation.

The Retreat Day Plan:

11AM- 11:15 - Arrive, settle & Opening Ceremony ( arrival from 10:45AM)

11:15 - 1 PM - guided mediation with intuitive painting

1-1:30 - Lunch ( BRING YOUR OWN)

1:30 - 3:30 - Settle for the Weaving part around the alter 

- Short meditation/journey 

- Weave the talisman landscape

3:30 -4PM Gather to contemplate the painting & weaving journey together & CLOSING CEREMONY
